Maroma Adventures - 77710 Playa del Carmen

Scuba diving was an exceptional experience! It was my first time doing it and even though I was kinda scared at the beginning, I am so happy I did it! Alex gave us a complete lesson at the beginning, explained the process and answered every single question we had. We got to practice how to breathe, equalize and balance under the water during the training session. We practiced the useful skills in case we would come to lose the regulator or get water in the mask. Thank you Alex for your patience and thorough guide throughout the whole process. Thanks to Ivan and Captain Ed for all the help! Shout out to Carlos who held my hand and looked after me when I was not able to balance myself. I recommend everyone to try Scuba Diving at Maroma Adventures. You won’t regret it!

It was fun. Did the wave runners. My son enjoyed. The food was good and the staff was friendly. Wasn't able to get my son's pictures from the wave runners. Not sure where the guy was at the end.

We booked a Camel riding your through our Nexus / Vacation Express representative at the Viva Wyndham Maya resort. The transportation was right on time and we were off to Maroma Adventures about 25 minutes away. Maroma not only has Camel riding but of course all sorts of water activities. Speed boats, snorkeling, scuba and a lot more. Maroma's location and facilities are absolutely beautiful and the place is spotless and well maintained. I would highly recommend Maroma Adventures. Check into it.

Captain German and the Pelicano 1 crew were awesome. He knew exactly where to go to put us on fish. Crew was patient with my young sons. Couldn't have been any better.

Luis, Bernard and Even were our guides. We enjoyed the tour. It was awesome, make sure you wear Mosquito repellent when they recommend it.

Probably the worst beach I have been to in the Riviera Maya AND in Mexico. I cannot speak about the hotel itself since I did not stay there but I did pay $800 pesos to get into the beach club and the sea water was not the turquoise water that I know of Cancun. The water was murky and BROWN. While inside the water I grabbed sand because it felt different and when I took it out of the water, the sand smelled like sewage. I asked someone from the hotel about it and they just said it was the seaweed since there is “a lot” of it. But that is a COMPLETE lie since the day before I was in Tulum and the beaches had more of the seaweed and it did not smell like that or even looked like that. And even then, dry seaweed has more of a fish smell, not a sewage smell. And even in the brown water there was no seaweed. Therefore, on top of having to pay for sewage water, they lied to me.

We booked through our resort, El Dorado Maroma, and signed up to see Tulum, El Castillo, and a beautiful cenote. Our tour guide was Jorge and our driver was Leo. Both were amazing and courteous. Jorge went into detail about Mayan culture, especially the calendar and astronomy, which really intrigued my boyfriend and I. We had a lot of fun, took in a lot of sun, and had an spiritual and fun trip! Thank you so much!

We rode waverunners and ATVs and had too much fun! The photo ops were pretty cheesy but you are grateful to have them to remember the good time you had. We want to try activities that are less taxing though… doing both left our hands aching. Maybe camels or dolphins next time. Bring tips and be flexible. We were told ATV’s first then the waverunners but they were switched when we got there so we had to adjust accordingly.
