Marvin Suites - 77310 Holbox

Marvin was "Marvin"elous! We loved the special attention he, his daughter, Vanessa and staff provided us on our one night stay. They were always available to assist us with every detail. They created adventures and memories we will talk about for awhile. Like getting stuck several times on the golf cart in puddles of water in the middle of the sandy streets, but we made it to witness the bioluminescence on Coco Beach. Therefore, Marvin's place is a unique, local island feel, quaint, adventurous place to stay!

What a wonderful place!!! Yesica and Marvin and everyone were exceptional!! We loved our room, very comfortable and clean. Yesica was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with everything on the island and information. Definitely consider a fishing trip with Marvin! We planned on it, but the weather didn’t allow while we were there, but will definitely do it next time! Can’t wait to return to Isla Holbox and Marvin Suites!! Thanks for everything!

The people running the place were nice. Got a free dinner and beer when we arrived. It's a decent little hotel with nice hammocks to lounge in. My only complaint is the price. It's pretty expensive for what you get.

If I could give this place a 10/5 I would. Hands down the best place on the island to stay. Marvin, his wife and his staff are the most friendly, accommodating people you will meet. You know why? Because it's family owned and they genuinely care. The rooms are large, clean and basic, plus it's set back in the town a bit so it's very quiet. But still, it's only an 8 minute walk to the main square/beach. What more do you need? Well, if you do need more, Marvin frequently puts on afternoon seafood grills and doesn't ask anything from anyone other than picking up a few ingredients and pitching in some help. My wife, three month old and myself stayed with Marvin for 20 days and we took part in 6 of his afternoon feasts and they are easily better than any of the meals we had eating out. I'm talking, not even close. If you need even more incentive, the place is small enough that you really get to know everyone who is staying there. We met a bunch of great people our 20 days there and I can pretty much bet that that would not have happened if we stayed in some generic hotel where everyone keeps to themselves. Last piece of advise: when booking try to get yourself into room "Sur". It's probably the best room in the place. Can't say enough good things about Marvin. Do yourself a favour, climb over Trumps dumbass wall and book yourself into Marvin Suites, and if you're American, don't go back home.

Awesome place! We stayed here for a night, Marvin and everyone are awesome people. Whish we could stay longer. The room was big and we really liked the small terrace upstairs. Perfect place to chill or get coffee in the morning. Totally recommended.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. Everything is within walking distance. My daughter got sick with a virus. Marvin got a doctor and then and got the medication for her. Along with some fruits for her stomach. Hands down the best customer service on the island.
