Beautiful place to get a massage at the end of Playa Zipolite. It was very relaxing hearing the waves while getting a mixed deep tissue and relaxing massage. Marcos offers a very good massage and is very strong. This was my second time there and I'm sure I'll be back next time I'm in Zipolite.

My partner and I had the 90-minute mixed masaje yesterday. The location is very beautiful, close to the beach at Zipolite. The two practitioners were also very kind and compassionate. Two sides of the massage area are covered with hanging sheets. The other two sides are open. The massage tables have one sheet to cover the table, no draping or coverage for the body. The practitioners did not leave when it was time for us to get undressed. This may not be a problem for some, it may be a problem for others, so you should know. The style of the deep tissue massage is very much like a rubbing of the body with oil. The skin sometimes heats up so the fascia will benefit. The work with the arms and legs was typical of a relaxation massage and we both agreed this was good. The area of the neck and back was where some more care could be taken. I think this is just something to consider for more training with anatomy and technique. The only problem I would caution is for anyone who might have a tendency towards modesty or any trauma history. The practitioners are very kind and compassionate, but it could be uncomfortable or scary for some people. This is the only massage I’ve ever had where there is no draping at all. So the recipient is completely exposed. When turned supine, a pillowcase is covered tightly over the eyes. The practitioner sometimes got onto the table above us, leaning over, and we could not see and we’re not covered. As a healthcare provider, I know that trust in the practitioner can make the experience feel safe and comfortable for relaxing. Since we meet only a few minutes before we are naked and then blindfolded supine, I think there is the potential for this to be an unsettling experience for some folks and want to leave a note of caution here. A little more attention to privacy and draping, coupled with some training in body mechanics would be a beneficial addition for both practitioners and patients at this spot. All in all, the providers clearly have sweet hearts, make great eye contact and have a gift for bodywork. Our only concerns were with some level of skill with neck and back work (which would actually protect the practitioners joints in the long run and keep patients safe with neck work) as well as some training in trauma-informed care.

Excellent massage from skilled practitioners. I had Elyel and my husband had Arturo. Completely professional and intuitive. I am a bit picky about masseurs, having had some clunkers while traveling, but these guys are legit. Well worth it. Thanks guys!
