Mateos Mexican Grill - 77780 Tulum

This place was so delicious! Got the fish tacos and they were seriously so amazing. The chips and salsa were soooo good - I think I ate two full cups of salsa lol they also bring different types of hot sauce with your meal. Definitely go here!

Good restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Well known for its rooftop to watch the sunset. The brownie was too dry and not very tasty, not recommended. Salad dressing was too sweet and wasn’t good.

We loved Matteo’s during our stay in Tulum! Lovely atmosphere, delicious food and drinks and amazing service - we had Fausto serve us both times we went who was brilliant and came with great recommendations for food/drinks! They have 2 for 1 cocktails up at their sunset lounge daily which was also great - very good margaritas! Can see why this place is so popular - would highly recommend

Absolutely go here for amazing sunset views and excellent traditional Mexican food. The fajitas were SO good and the service even better. If I could go back to only a few restaurants in Tulum, this would be one of them. Especially loved our server Luis!! Thank you!!

Service is on point. They are so responsive to your requests and committed to ensuring your experience there is great! Of course we were there during the NFL season and they were the only bar we knew of playing American football games. So we spent our Sunday night there enjoying good food, drinks, and a phenomenal game with same spirited fans. Awesome time! We ordered their special of the day- grilled octopus was so good!

We got ripped off by their tour sales booth operating on sight, a representative called Omar We bought tickets for Xe Ha park including transportation back & forth At the end of the day we called them to pick us up and we’re told to take a taxi back, which we did. It took one hour to find one, and we are a family with four little girl, including two babies. When we asked to be refunded for the taxi, not asking for anything else we got various stories as to “come back later”, “we will have the money later”, “the price for the taxi is too high” etc… the taxi was 950 MXP So we suggest all of you to stay away from that place at all costs. PS, after discussing this with another one of their employees we understood that’s not the first time this happens. So simply take your business elsewhere.

My wife and I loved the food here!! The fish tacos are amazing!! They have fresh coconut water as well. Our waiter Fausto was awesome!! He explained the menu very well in English which helped a lot.

Can’t comment on the food as we only had the guac, but the live music here was great!! We came to watch the sunset and it was very busy but we managed to find space at the rooftop bar. The waiters were very attentive and the cocktails good! They have happy hour 2-4-1 until 7pm
