★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome tacos (we had camarones and pescado) and guacamole, and exceptionally good margaritas. Lovely setting off of a courtyard. Go early before the nightlife crowd really gets kicking and you'll have the place to yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So far the best curated fish we've had in Sayulita, great portions, simple but super tasty, good looking platting and of course great service. All of this for a very fair price! We had the Tuna Sashimi and the Shrimp Aguachile.
Highly recommended!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely love Matiz and the whole theme and vibe. Owner is great, wait is never long, and the drinks are insanely huge. Like...the michelada is ridiculous and awesome.
Quality of fish is excellent, and the best part is that the price point is surprisingly cheap for what you get, one of the cheapest ceviche options around.
That said... while all of that other stuff is great and perfect, just about everything lacks spice and heat and sometimes the flavors aren't as developed.
Tacos de camarones, aguachile verde, michelada, agua fresca...
Tuna tostada also highly recommended, and definitely take advantage of his specials.

Clean and minimal setting that’s refreshing given its proximity to the centre. Tucked away in a little court yard. Perfect in every way. AND they do take out!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed our meals and thought the prices were super reasonable for fresh seafood. We started with the tuna tartar (220 pesos) which was so fresh and delicious. we also enjoyed the tacos. unfortunately, i can’t recommend the crab claws (manos de congrejo) as we found them way too tough.. perhaps overcooked or previously frozen. it was unfortunate that this was the last thing we were served, after such a delicious meal in a wonderful setting with fantastic service. i would definitely recommend going, just avoid the crab!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a solo early dinner at Matiz and loved everything I ordered. The tuna tostada was so fresh and good, the shrimp aguachile and perfectly spicy and I washed it all down with a giant glass of horchata. What more could you want?? Great price, highly recommend!!
