Highly anticipated my visit but ended up somewhat disappointed. We had 5 dishes: Sweet Onion 4/5 Birria 3/5 Crab Tostada 3/5 Tempura 2/5 Poached Octupus 2/5 Service 3/5 Overall the food is not bad, but with all the praise Maximo has received what I ended up finding was nothing special. This is decent comfort food but in the context of the competition in Mexico City , Maximo is falling short by only banking on the selling point that it is all about locality and sustainability. I missed the incredible flavors of Mexican cuisine you can experience in many other places around town today. Wouldn't return

Wow, what a superb meal! I’ve had dozens of Michelin rated restaurant experiences all across the world and Maximo is definitely on par with the Michelin 1 star restaurants. When you first walk in you immediately see the kitchen and the chefs at work, then as you walk further you see the restaurant open up to a pleasant, rustic chic vibe. The wait staff is caring and happy to please. Highly recommend the chef tasting menu - you’ll definitely be full and satisfied with the experience.

Mediocre! Me and my friend are both foodies and have done a decent amount of fine dining both in Mexico and abroad, and this restaurant left a lot to be desired for the price. The two stars are for the ambience and design of the space, but the food was a total gimmick of what fine dining should. We had the tasting menu along with a bottle of wine. Total bill came to be over 5,000 pesos… Mexican black Truffle shavings? Gimmick! The chef knows should know very well that unless the truffle comes from Italy or France, chances are the truffle is completely lacking of flavor and fragrance, which makes for a cheap and disappointing experience. Peach ice cream and nothing else? Basic! Please do yourself a favor and go spend the same amount of money at Quintonil and get an experience a THOUSAND times better.

Probably my favorite “fine dining” restaurant in Mexico City. Second time here and this time we didn’t do the tasting menu. Our table had most mains - steak, fish, pasta, and starters such as asparagus soup, ceviche, pate, and everything is just excellent. Their new space is nicer and larger, service is great, and I just think the quality of the ingredients is unmatched.

Great menu selection, with amazing delivery. Minus 1 star goes for imperfect service - my partner's and my food was brought at least a minute apart. At the end, we waited for our bill for more than ten minutes, after asking for it three times.

Incredible experience! Highly recommended if you are visiting Mexico City. From the appetizers to the desserts the food didn’t disappoint Definitely get the BBQ chicken appetizer and the onion chutney… the octopus dish wasn’t my favorite, not because it was bad it was more related to me liking it roasted

Had an excellent lunch here that lived up to the hype. The soft shell crab was phenomenal and the artichoke soup was heaven. Would definitely be back as there was so much more I wanted to try but was stuffed.

We had a great dinning experience at Maximo. All the food was amazing. I thought the tostada was the best appetizer and my tagliatelle was amazing. The drinks were delicious. The only thing that could be better for a restaurant of this status are the chairs. They were not comfortable chairs and you expect comfortable chairs for the price of the meals. I also thought all the meals could have been brought out at the same time and not one by one every minute. Overall, it’s a great restaurant with amazing food.
