The Grand Oasis Cancun = the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, it ruined my first experience in Cancun. PLEASE BEWARE. Three friends and I drove in from Tulum and after we checked in to the hotel, we decided to rent wave runners for an hour with Marina Tropical through the Viajes Caribe Maya Kiosk. We paid $200 and were told to go to a tent on the beach 15 minutes before the session. We had just enough time to drop our bags and make it to our appointed time at the beach. When we arrived there with proof of purchase in our hands, the workers told us first that they didn’t have any jet skis available – then they told us that they didn’t do business with anyone at the hotel and they denied us service. We went back to the hotel and spoke to the same person who had sold us the tickets at the Viajes Caribe Maya Kiosk. This person called the workers down at the beach – the workers told them that my friends and I were drunk, and they didn’t serve people who were drunk. (We had not had any alcohol at this point.) We got the Viajes Caribe Maya manager involved and rather than provide us a refund or force Marina Tropical to provide us with the service, he told us that he would rather keep a good relationship with the Marina Tropical Company. So, in the first couple of hours at the resort two businesses associated with them, Viajes Caribe Maya and Marina Tropical were able to steal $200 from us. At this point, I should have known what to expect for the remainder of my stay. After being blindsided by the wave runner incident, we went to have a drink at one of the bars. The drinks were watered down and of insanely poor quality – I asked one of the workers if they had anything outside of the well drinks available, his response was that only “el Patron” or “el hefe” had access to the good alcohol, that the guests were only allowed to have the cheap stuff. Later at dinner, I had to send my food back because it wasn’t edible, and the wine tasted like it was made in someone’s barn. Topping off the experience was the smell of the rooms – and not just the rooms, but the beds. Laying down on the bed after a long trying day was welcomed until I smelled what I was laying on. The sheets had been cleaned, but the mattresses had not been properly taken care of – they smelled molded with uncleaned sweat to the point that I couldn’t sleep on them. The next morning, I checked out of the hotel completely disgusted and angry with the service that I experienced. Please BEWARE – because regardless of the photos and other reviews from this hotel – it is not a good idea to stay here.

Not happy at all. They lie to make every effort to buy the ticket then they will change whatever they want. They changed the return time for us without previous notice which made us miss the show. No help inside the park. All of a sudden the red shirt people disappeared. Not worth going with them at all

Extra fees, extra fees, extra fees once you get to your excursion. Here's your warning people. Ricardo at the Pyramid Grand Oasis didnt tell us and couldnt care less. Neither did his manager. Our $200US is gone. Keep yours and spend it elsewhere.

My family and I went on a trip to Chichen in May 2022, Ricardo the agent at Gran Oasis was very kind and the Tour guide Juan was very professional, what I did not like was the planning of the trip since we were not long in Chichen and the stop in KAUA is a total loss of time for approximately 2.5 hours, the food at restaurant is bad and the walking trip in Kaua was over congested since this a main stop for multiple buses, not to mention that everything is very expensive in the Kaua store, it is better to buy souvenirs in Chichen if you have the opportunity! I think then need to take Kaua stop out of this trip, In my Opinion is better to go to Valladolid straight.

We stayed at Grand Oasis Pyramid for our honeymoon, and Viajes Caribe Maya almost ruined 1 of our 5 days due to their terrible communication and total lack of customer service skills. We trusted them because they are all over the hotel grounds. They told us to meet "at the lobby" for our tour, but the bus came to pick us up at the lower-level plaza. I had to get the hotel manager involved to get a refund as the Viajes supervisor (Carlos Avila) initially refused. Terrible company, do NOT recommend.

I did not have great experience with them . They told us you can come back from the park around 10 PM and reach the resort around 11. All of a sudden in our way back they said you have to come back at 7:45 which made us miss the show. They said if you are not in the parking lot by 7:45 you will have to come back by yourself. They said you will see the red shirt helper everywhere in the park. Once you checked in you will never find them again. very disappointing. You will be lost in the park. I would look for somebody else to tour with. Not a good service
