Maya Casitas - 77400 Isla Mujeres

Hola I spent 2 days in Isla Mujeres ans slept in Maya Casitas. I mucho recommend this super cool place, with a personalised decoration for each room, you will be feeling the good vibes (in particular the nice garden in which you will have your (including) breakfast) Edson will assist you for everything ! just ask! He’s really charming and super welcoming - don’t hesitate to leave your luggage at Maya Casitas for an authentic experience in Isla Mujeres

The place is very nice and the guests are treated very well, very clean, large and comfortable shower, dining table, TV with Netflix and large comfortable beds. Prices are really cheap and in excellent location on the island.

It is a tiny Oasis in paradise !!! I absolutely love this place !!! Stayed for a month !!! Staff is very attentive and rooms were clean and well taken care of !!!

Our stay with Maya Casitas was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The room was really nice, clean and well air con’d. They even had a big tv with Netflix installed to use if wanted. The breakfast was very nice and well prepared, they really took their time to make it a good experience which was very much appreciated. Definitely recommend if staying on Isla.

Perhaps it was just the Christmas season, but it very overpriced for what we got. Moldy bathrooms, peeling paint, dark bedrooms, calcified faucets that trickled, and thunderous bands playing just behind the wall at volume 11 till well past midnight with a door as thin as tin foil that did nothing to dampen the sound. The hosts were nice and breakfast was lovely but it was not worth the sleepless nights.

I absolutely love this place and I would come back in a heartbeat. It is such a little gem! The main reason I love this place is all the attention to little details. They make sure the breakfast fits your personal needs, they set up tours for you around the island, and they spend the time helping you plan out your trip. They make sure you experience is personalized.

We were very disappointed in our say at Maya Casitas. We have stayed at several B&Bs and had high hopes. For the price we paid, we should have received better accommodations. We could have stayed at a nicer hotel and paid separately for breakfast and spent less. We would not recommend unless the price is $50 US per night or less. Pros •Inn keepers were very nice. •The room was clean when we arrived. Cons •The air conditioning was off when we arrived, so the room was sweltering. We had to leave for several hours just to let the air conditioning get the room down to a bearable temp. •They call themselves a B&B. We have stayed at many B&Bs, and one of the best parts is the breakfast. The breakfast here was more of a continental breakfast. Juice, coffee, a croissant, yogurt, and some fruit. No protein and nothing was cooked. Oh, and the breakfast was the exact same every morning. When we found this out on the first morning, we skipped the other mornings. •There was NO daily service. The room was not cleaned, towels were not changed, trash was not taken out. •We ran out of toilet paper because there was no daily service. •The room needed repair. There were missing tiles, cracks, and missing plaster. •The door to the room is glass. There was a crack that went the entire horizontal length of the door, and I was worried that it would shatter just from normal use. •The air conditioning unit dripped condensation in the room. The floor is tile, so there were puddles on the floor, making it very slippery and a definite fall hazard.

Good affordable place to live at on the island. I would be little concerned of the noise coming from the neighborhood bar. But if you don't mind that this is a pocket-friendly accomodation.
