This company has the contract for ChichenItza.com. Do not use them. Awful tour. So bad from start to finish its not worth describing. Rent a car and drive yourself

I wish I had read the reviews... Avoid unless your fluent Spanish. But even if you speak Spanish, you'll probably find better hospitality and better service elsewhere. We had a package that included drinks, but they only started serving drinks once we started complaining about the missing drinks after 2pm (tour started with a pick-up at 6:45am). At the Chichen Itza they hired a professional Spanish speaking tour guide and the English speaking part of the group got the guy from our bus who barely spoke English. Very disappointing. And btw. the whole company seemed kind of unorganized...

We had trouble finding the instructor in the morning and the tour started about an hour late. Another issue was the extremely long “shopping” stops at stores with merchandise they wanted us to purchase. Eventually the tour covered what was promised but for shorter periods of time than promised (45 minutes of tour in Chichen Itza instead of a hour and a half) etc.

Terrible experience with anything that the tour company touched. They grossly overstated the amenities available, saying that water would be available on the bus but it ended up being only part of the tour (possibly putting one tourist into heat exhaustion), a bar and waiter on the bus was an extreme stretch, didn't communicate with us even after a tire blowout left us on the side 9f the highway in the middle of nowhere for over an hour and not even offering water when we stayed on the stuffy bus. No advance notice that tourists would be dropped off two or three blocks from their resort at 1030 at night with some possibly being dropped off in a friend's truck. At the end of the tour, we were advised to make sure we grab everything or we won't get it back because the people who clean the bus are poor and would keep it when they find it.

Bus was late in the morning, causing us to be short on time at every location, including the most important: Chichen Itza. They brought us there 45 minutes before closing time, of which 15m was the guided segment... We were promised 2hrs, of which half was guided. Big waste of money

The tour on 5/31/22 was for Cenoté, Tulum, Coba, and Playa De Carmen with tour guide JOSE ZAVALA CASTRO. During the tour, the tour guide repeatedly mentioned “I am the tour guide. I will not wait for anyone.” When we finished the Tulum tour, the tour guide disregarded 6 tourists that were visiting from outside the country. Two of those tourists were approaching the bus but were still left behind. The staff decided not to stop and continue with the trip. Approximately 2 hours after leaving Tulum, the staff decides on returning back to Tulum for the tourists who had already left. On the tour, there were two families with children. The father of one of those two families asked the tour guide a couple of questions in which the tour guide answered rudely that he would the answer upon arrival to the destination. Due to the nature of the tour guides’ attitude, the two families decided not to continue with the tour and took a taxi back to Cancun. As the tour continued, the tour guide mentioned his undergraduate and graduate studies in Psychology which didn’t make sense as a topic of discussion. The tour guide has no respect, skills, nor hospitality. Additionally, we didn’t go to Coba because we were informed that it was closed and that the staff didn’t know when it would re-open until further notice. When checking on-line after the tour finished, Coba was never closed to the public. Please do your research and read the reviews before booking.

The morning of the tour we left our hotel on a wonderful coach bus with lots of room to be dropped off at a connection depot with 6 or more other bus loads of people. It was very chaotic and unorganized and we almost missed our bus as one man told us to "wait here" for our tour guide who didn't come get us. From the time we left the hotel to when we finally got on the tour bus was 90 mins . It was only a 20 mins drive to the pickup point. We paid for the deluxe package when we booked. Don't waste your money. Get the classic and on the bus the will upgrade you to diamond which was above us, for 800 Pecos. We paid way too much online. We were supposed to get food and drinks all day on the bus. If you have classic you dont get it but they were giving drinks to the classic groups anyway. Not sure what we paid for. They brought us to lots of "handmade" craft store. Yeah, everything was identical and mass production. Don't be fooled by this. Everything is overpriced. Make sure to watch prices and ask how much. If you don't they overcharge you. DON'T use your credit card. Make sure you have cash and always negotiate. The bus we were put on was very cramped and very hot . The seats were very small and really tight together with no legroom. The AC didn't work well. We stopped to eat a swim and swim and was given 90 mins to do both. Of course people were late coming back and then we had less time at the ruins. We should have had 2 hours but ended up having just over an hour. Very disappointing. There are lots of tables selling "handmade" items here too. All the same mass produced junk. They try to sell you "authentic" stone only available there. Don't fall for it. It was many very rushed stops and lots of high pressure sales people following you around. Beware. I would not book with them again.

Mayab travel was our travel operator after we booked our Cenote-Tulum-Muyil-Playa del Carmen tour through Schacht travel at Mercado 28 in Cancun. The tour was conducted in a Volvo A/C bus with clean and comfortable seats. José was our tour guide and he was knowledgeable about the Mayan culture and the archeological sites. His instructions, which were very clear, were in both English and Spanish. Part of the tour was delicious buffet lunch at Wayak Dzonot cenote. Pick up arrived on time in the morning around 7.30am at the hotel zone but drop off was little late only (8pm?)because the passengers took longer to return to the bus at the pit stops. Mayab Travel is a good choice if you are considering a budget-friendly option to cover Tulum and also have a cenote experience.
