★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very professionally run hotel with a very personal touch by the caring owner. The hotel is in a very good and clean shape.
Especially the dinner with all guests sharing a table and freshly prepared food make you feel like part of a family. If I could change one thing, I would turn the ocean on the beach a little bit more turquoise (maybe depending on the season?)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Difficult to get there... that's why it's such a nice place. For half an hour you have to drive on a corral sand way. When you think you are lost, you get there. Beautiful nature, nice surrounding and very friendly stuff . The owner Marcia was like a friend. The only blotch on this paradise was the sea. The beach was nice, the water blue and clear. But I understood here what plastic pollution means. Even far from civilisation you find plastic bags and other ugly objects in the water. That's not the fault of the hotel owners but it made me angry about the stupidity of mankind.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a fun little out of the way place. Definitely off the grid so be ready for quite the adventurous drive. But the privacy and quiet is fantastic.
The beach is pristine and the snorkeling along the bay is beautiful. Marcia and Kim who run and own the Inn are just the best!
if you like off-grid and out of the way places this is the place to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a review of the restaurant. The food is good but the owner is very difficult to deal with. She makes you feel she is doing you a favor for allowing you to be her customer. Best avoided.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. Unlike staying at a mega resort, this was an intimate setting with a few units right on the beach. The view from our balcony was spectacular! Marcia is very knowledgeable about the area and where the best snorkeling is. The kitchen went out of their way to accommodate my keto dietary lifestyle and made some of the best meals I've ever had. I kept thinking that there was going to at least be one meal, but every single meal was impressive and delicious! We will definitely be back!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed down the beach at a house, but came to Marcia's to eat (and to use the wi-fi once.)
The food is incredible here!
We didn't see inside of the apartments, but the grounds and the porches look so nice! We talked to many of the guests, and they were all loving their stays.
We will definalty visit Marcia and Kim in the future!
Thank you so much for the hospitality!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed at the Mayan Beach Garden last week and could not have enjoyed ourselves more!! After a week in bustling little Mahahual, Marcia's place was exactly what we were looking for - off the beaten path, plenty of beach/views/fly fishing right out of your front door, beautiful accommodations, a picture perfect setting, and a restaurant on site with daily dinner specials that were divine! We highly, highly recommend this gem of a getaway! We plan to return VERY soon!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A little gem about 45 minutes drive from Mahahual. The owners have done an excellent job making this place a little piece of paradise. We rented a unit on the beach. It’s extremely well appointed for cooking, and the comfy king bed with nice linens was so appreciated. Marcia the owner is an artist and it is apparent from the gorgeous tile mosaics on the patios and main building and artwork on the walls. She even offers art classes weekly to guests and surrounding community. Since it’s further to get into town a vegetable delivery truck comes weekly. You can also book a massage twice a week. The restaurant on site offers a great selection and it’s always fresh food. Her staff is friendly and accommodating. Marcia is always there to ensure you have what you need and is so helpful with recommendations. Wi-Fi works really well. But there’s no cell service. Truly if you want to detach from the buzzing of crazy day to day life and just relax this is an excellent place to do so. But if you don’t want to feel too isolated you can rent a car before arriving. We had a car because we like to explore. And it would be $40 by taxi return to the closest town of Mahahual.
