Mayan Expeditions by Special Mayan Tours - 77510 Cancún

Their allinclusive was flat beer. A scam. Don't use these people. At least the bus tour. They didn't even get us back to the hotel. We got told to take a bus. I own a restaurant. Would never let my patrons be treated this way. Only had about 30 minutes to see the whole place due to over talking. Plus didn't have appropriate time to shop. They say the money you spend helps the mayans. Great, it should. Wish I would have had more than 30mins to spend.

Scott and Pam E., sorry can't seem to edit my typos... Traveled to Cancun for the first time in December 15. Rented a car, but wanted a private tour. Spoke to Pepe before we left the states. We knew we had the right person. Pepe and one of his drivers (sorry can't remember drivers name) showed us the best of Mexican hospitality and knowledge. Told Pepe wanted to go to Chichen Itza and also expirience Mexican food and culture like a Mexican and not jut tourists. Pepe picked us up ad our hotel early in the morning because suggested heading out before all the tour buses. They took us in a perfect and comfortable van, myself, my wife Pepe and the driver to Chichen Itza, the headed out just to eat and explore. This was the highlight of our visit to Mexico. Best meal, best knowlege, safe, just great. We don't know what else to say except we will remembee these guys forever. We will also take another trip in Mexico and hope to meet have these same "guides" again.

Outstanding tour!!!!! We went to Chichen Itza. Pepe is very knowledgeable and we had a great tour there. We stopped to eat on the way home at an excellent restaurant. I highly recommend Mayan expedition! It was great having your personal tour guide! Thank you Pepe!!!!

We took a 5 person private day excursion from Cancun to the ruins in Coba, Tulum and then went snorkeling. Our tour guide, Manuel Estrella, went above and beyond to make us comfortable and was courteous and well informed. It was clear that he was knowledgeable of the history, was very well spoken and took pride in his profession. He was courteous and helpful to other tourists that approached him with questions. We have taken public tours in the past and have been happy, but if you have 4 or 5 more people in your party, private tours with this company is probably very comparable in price and the indivual attention received is impressive. My favorite things in Cancun has been the beaches and the friendly local people. It why we continue to return. I usually don’t post ratings, but the experience was so good, I thought it would be wrong not to give them credit.

Great sightseeing experience, make sure you bring water because it will be hot!

We had a group of 14 take the bus with Pepe and Special Mayan Tours to enjoy a guided tour of Chichen Itza, a visit to a great authentic Mexican restaurant, a swim in a Cenote, and a short stop to walk around an old city square. The van with driver Jose and tour guide Pepe picked our group up early at our Cancun resort to start our adventure and get to Chichen Itza before the larger crowds would come later in the day. Pepe "knows his stuff" and made the tour so much better. I would highly recommend Pepe and Special Mayan Tours for a wonderful adventure.

Let me start by recommending Pepe to be your tour guide. Born and raised in Cancun he is incredibly knowledgeable about the whole Cancun. He even used to go to all the sites as a kid with his dad. He gave us a historical and personal view of the Cancun area. We had 2 wonderful days of touring with him. I also need to mention that we had a safe and super helpful driver Ramiro. Pepe took us to the usual Chizeniza and Tulum giving is the rich history of the Mayans during the drive and walking around the sites. He even helped my 8 year old with her journal entries for school. I enjoy the cenotes he took us to. Best tour operators in Cancun.

Pepe and Jesus are awesome we’re a family of 5 and went from Cancun to Chichen Itza he was super knowledgeable and excited to let you know everything he did afterwords we went and had lunch in a beautiful town Valladolid afterwords we went to Ek Balam and climbed the Mayan ruins. It was a long day and not once did I ever feel rushed which was a great feeling just being able to explore all day with my family.
