Mayflower Hotel & Hostal - 71980 Puerto Escondido

Good value for money. I got a huge room with balcony for 400 MXN per night, but may have just been lucky. Location is great if you want to be close to the center; in case you’d prefer party and nights out, something closer to Playa Zicatela may be your choice. Still, it was ideal for me since I was more in explorer mode and less up for hard party nights. Staff is very helpful and friendly but doesn’t speak English. The internet in my room sucked (most times, I went cellular - still, the low costs for the room made up for higher data rates). The hostel provided free soap and hand sanitizer in the room, and Ihot a second towel upon request. I would go again, and can recommend this place for sour stay in Puerto Escondido.

Lovely staff. The location is superb and the room was perfect and very good value for money. The interior is super warming, rooms are suffice and kitchen is well equipped. Would recommend

This is the best Pizza in the town!!! After the pizza you should try the Israeli dessert Rozalah with Nutella, this is heaven?Also it’s a Great HOSTAL, VILLA MARY, they have dorm and private rooms, I definitely recommend!!!??

Private rooms not as described or pictured. All the view rooms are long term residents who take up all the fridge, kitchen sitting and smoking. Room was full of bugs, no screen on windows and fan doesn't cool room. All beside reception, so hear phone and people in and out all evening. Pay a few dollars more and get a hotel room!

I stayed long-term in Mayflower and all I have to say, Julian and his staff are incredibly kind, understanding and friendly. They do a great job running this hotel and making sure everyone (long-term renters, backpackers, young and old) feel right at home and comfortable. Thank you.

I just stayed the night but hostel nice comfy beds .. everything on doorstep and a quiet room to get a night s rest. Very close to beach and bus terminal. Staff very polite and happy to help

A beautiful well-built older hotel. Clean and comfortable. Building is self-ventilating like others of the period and reasonably cool even in the hottest month (April). There is no air conditioning. Good bones, but tons of room for improvement with a little effort. Primarily needs an attitude adjustment; lacks vision. Also needs someone to fix the inoperable window in my dorm for a start. Cliquey clientele when I was there didn't help the experience. Definitely not experienced travellers. More like The Thing That Wouldn't Leave on SNL.
