★ ★ ★ ★ ★ De verdad me quedé sorprendida una hermosa iglesia una misa fabulosa..,.. Pasamos de paso a bendecir una cruz de mi cuñado que falleció un mes antes . Terminando la misa nos bendición la cruz el padre con una hermosas palabras.....y Era la fiesta de la patrona y unos arreglos hermosos , se las recomiendo esta atrás de una capilla

At the end of the Mass, the Father blessed us with a beautiful words ... and it was the patron saint's party and beautiful arrangements, I recommend them behind a chapel

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Por fuera su fachada es relativamente sencilla, junto con la torre, poco ornamentado el arco de la entrada, sin embargo ya el interior resguarda interesantes sorpresas en cuanto al arte sacro se refiere, notabílisimo altar, excelentes decoraciones, por lo tanto muy digna de admirar la iglesia

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This church dates back to the first years of the Spanish Conquest of New Spain. Signs of its construction are believed to have been started in the 1540s, quite credible due to its location along the lake bed of Lake Texcoco (now mostly dried out). The impetus for conversion was strong, as evidenced by the Augustinian convent in Acolman. The volcanic stone that is evident in its construction is not too dissimilar to the techniques used in the pyramids of Teotihuacan and elsewhere where Indigenous hands were employed. Many of the murals that adorn the interior date from the mid-18th Century.
