After visiting nearly all the new car dealers in Merida I had just about given up. Was negotiating purchasing a new SUV in Florida and paying to have it imported. That would have added 6 to 8K to the cost but every dealer in Merida was lying to such a degree I found it insulting. Several told me the price of the vehicle was extra for me due to the "foreigner tax." Many tried pulling the classic bait and switch scam; after the deal and price is agreed to they produce a vehicle with less features. So, as I stated I was just about to import one myself. Then one day on the way to Alta Brias I stopped in the Mazda dealership. Very different attitude. I told the young lady helping me I wouldn't put up with any games. She told me "we don't do that here." I left and did some research on Mazda, liked what I found. Went back and made a deal. Only hiccup was the color I wanted was back ordered. Said it would take 3 maybe 4 months. Time wasn't an issue to me so I ordered it. At least once a month I recieved a update call. My vehicle arrived in a little less than 3 months. I went to pick it up, no surprises and no games. They dealt with getting the plates (which can take days here) very happy with my salesperson and the process. In a year or so my wife will need a new car. I have no doubt Mazda will be the first, probably last, dealer we go to.

This is the only Mazda in Merida, but even that, they have good organization in the service area. You can take your car even on Saturdays, that is very convenient.
