★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow, what an amazing tour! The website promises so much, and yet it was way more than that. Not only all these amazing places and interesting foods to eat, but Bedsaidi is so knowledgeable and enthusiastic about everything to do with Oaxaca, we learnt so much from her along the way. We could tell the huge amount of preparation work that goes into this tour. We were so glad we booked this for the first day of our stay in Oaxaca, as a great introduction to the city, and also so we could go back to re-visit and re-try some of the places, which we would never have found (or even noticed, if we walked right past) on our own. Being able to sit in the local market, drinking the best juices and eating the best EVER tamales!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We booked a full day private tour with Betsaida at Me Encanta Oaxaca and had a wonderful time! She was so warm and friendly, professional and informed, and passionate about her work. We feel like we have such a better understanding of Oaxaca after this trip, and we had a lot of fun together. She was patient with us and has such a strong grasp of English that she was able to answer even our toughest questions in nuanced and thoughtful ways. If you can, spend some time with Betsaida and Me Encanta Oaxaca (book in advance because her schedule fills up!). You won’t regret it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This tour was a super great way to experince the traditional food of Oaxaca, and at the same time learn about the history of the city. The vegetarian options were good as well, since one of us ate vegetarian.
Betsy is so sweet, and besides presenting us to the food, she showed us around town and recommended us many different places.
And the food was delicious!

I will start by saying that Betsy is wonderful! She is so knowledgeable about the history of the Oaxacan city, culture, people and of course the food. She makes everyone feel so comfortable and welcome. Everyone says hello to her as we walk by and she is friends with all the vendors. She really is a part of the city. She was also really interested in learning about the culture of the city where I live at home in Australia.
We tried so many different foods, some more yum than others but all delicious none the less. There were foods that I had always wanted to try but never knew how to order. Betsy knew exactly what she was doing though.
6 stars. Thank you Betsy and Me Encanta :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We took the street food tour with Betsy. She was wonderful! She talked my partner and I through each dish, what it contained, and what our options were to make it vegetarian friendly. We both left completely full! Not only that, but we learned a lot about the history of the city and the cultural significance of different foods. Highly recommend for anyone that wants to experience Oaxaca as a local.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Can not recommend this tour enough! It was fun, the food was delicious and we learned a lot about the history of Oaxaca throughout. Our host, Betsy, was simply awesome. She was funny, entertaining and spoke impeccable english. We also visited markets and tasted foods that we never would have thought about (such as native fruits, which were amazing!). My husband and I left stuffed to the gills and even made some freinds. I'd do this tour again in a heartbeat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did the walking food tour. First of all Betsy was a wonderful tour guide. She was welcoming, catered to everyone’s needs, and leaves a great taste in your mouth :) This tour was an amazing way to experience all of the different local cuisines. We especially appreciated how she provided history and the culture of the area along with suggestions of the best places in the market to purchase merchandise and food. She showed us beautiful murals. Also loved how she included trying local fruits in addition to the prepared cuisines. She is a mother to all and I’d recommend this for anyone at any time during their stay in Oaxaca

We booked a food tour with her, and she was SO INCREDIBLE that we booked an artisan and market tour with her 2 days later! Her tours were truly the best part of our trip.
