Mega as it's called is sort of a Mexican version of a standard Smith's or Albertsons Supermarket. This one has virtually none of the staff that speak any English. Bakery charm department is different for those of us from North America United States oh, you go around with a platter and tongs and pick out your pastries and Breads and then take it up to the counter to be wrapped and price. There are many people standing around waiting to give you help, unfortunately few of them speak English. it's very noticeable that this is Bernie Sanders vision for America, lots and lots of people doing what the sign or a robot could do in terms of dispensing food products from cases. I guess if you have a lot of cheap labor you get rid of the robots and use the cheap labor.

Reviewed as a nearby Playa resident that has been here many times... Selection: 4.5 of 5 General selection is pretty good. There is an expat focused isle over by the bakery area that also has an ok selection. Accessibility: 5 of 5 There is a ramp from the parking garage I to the lower retail area, an ramp (not stair) escalators up and down into/from Mega. Cleanliness: 2 of 5 Store - 4 of 5 Bathroom: 0 of 5 Never fail to plan ahead so that you don't ever need to use these. They are disgusting. Pretty sure the management has the staff come in to pee and smear crap on things to prepare for customers.

Good place just beside Costco. Parking lot can get messy on weekends. Good variety of bread, cheese and wines. Vegetables can be a little pricey but better than Walmart.

Was very happy with the bakery selection. Got shoes, produce, juice and dairy. Large, clean store. Cashiers were very friendly. Fee for parking, but free if validated by Costco purchase next door.

I like the store, but customer service is lazy. Try to avoid having to deal with them. I tried to pick up a remittance, as i have done before. The girl said there was a problem with my information, showed me the error on the screen and pretty much walked away without trying to help at all. I don't recommend performing any financial services here; they're slow as if it's the first time to do it.

Very neat and clean store. After taking temperature and giving you sanitizing gel for your hands the security will instruct you (I am mentioning this as you might be perplexed if you don’t understand Spanish - like me!) to go to the ‘pacqueteria’. I had a backpack on me and I was being instructed to leave my bag there in exchange for a token. The have a cafe inside. They have 4 or 5 ATMs inside including ScotiaBank.

We were not a big fan of MEGA when we moved to Cancun, but soon after we visited all supermarkets in the neighboorhood, we discovered that MEGA had the most fresh items and that every wednesday they have promos and lots of veggies, fruits and other perishables as they call it "miercoles del plaza", so even if it gets crowded, it it worth it to go there time by time.

A really nice Supermarket now called "Mega Soriana" (former Mega from Comercial Mexicana). The products are great and it has the biggest variety in the area. The produce is fresh and at really good prices. You will love the freshly daily baked bread. They have clothes, electronics and my more things. You can find, fish, pultry and nice steak cuts. You will like i.
