★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are coming to Mani you must visit here. Luis is so kind and spent nearly two hours showing us the process, explaining the deep history of bee keeping in Yucatan and sharing with us his life on his property. He is, by his account, the first in the region that brought back the ancient tradition of bee keeping following Mayan practices. We were amazed at the variety of flavors that the bees produce after he allowed us a few samples from various stages in the process. The tour itself was free and all in Spanish and at the end we were able to purchase Luis products. Highly recommend visiting especially if you speak Spanish as the history and process are great to learn about.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great time here learning about the Mayan bees and their magical honey. I’m not sure if I believe all the mystical healing properties, but the taste is very mild and not too sweet but the floral aroma is distinct and unique to this area because of the flowers the bees collect from.
