★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Alfonso makes a great breakfast and lunch. I have been coming hear for years. I got my first taste of menudo here after landing in Guadalajara. The place can get crowded but the service is fast and a place at the bar usually opens up fast.
The grilled meats are also really good. They have some staples like carne asada and lamb, as well as a couple of exotics like ostrich.
There are few places in the Guadalajara where you can eat so well for such a great price. When I was going to school the breakfasts were 35 pesos. And you can't beat the tortillas. Seriously the best!
