Very clean and cheap place to eat. Everyone in Oaxaca has to eat here to experience street food. Clean place, no pets allowed Prices vary but in general it’s very cheap. Well worth the visit. It’s a must see place in Oaxaca city

Go to comedor Yolita for the best (priced) tlayudas! Loved the tlayuda con pollo (pechuga), which is actually not often to be found in Oaxaca city. For 65 pesos it comes with the usual & the meat of your choice, but as an extra they also add tomatoes and even avocado! Best price-for-what-you-get tlayudas since our 4 month travel trough Mexico! Will definitely go back.

Great variety of food, i would recommend their chocolate, tamales, tlayuda, and bread. You can find great options outside and inside the mercado.

Super fun. Giant place with mostly friendly vendors. Get lost and forget what time it is. We ate vegan food in Los Jarritos (a food booth) and it was amazing! They made me a tlayuda with all the vegetables and a wonderful sauce. And they have vegetarian options on the menu that can be veganized. We bought a variety of moles and chocolates at Chile's Secos Almita. They have the largest selection of moles that we saw and they spent a lot of time with us and were super sweet to us.

It’s a great market with cheap food where locals eat but the meat is great quality! Go to the area with all grills and you’ll see all the meat there, it’s so intense and worth experiencing! I had a tlayuda just next to the entrance to the grill area and it was perfect! It’s so full of flavour, a lot of Oaxaca cheese and the meat slices are amazing! I recommend taking one with 3 meats (pork, beef and chorizo). I came back the second day to try mole too. Not my taste but it’s worth trying nevertheless. Genuine Oaxaca experience! Also worth trying the hot chocolate with water served with the typical bun!

Foodie haven here in Oaxaca. Personally love the meat road here. Indoor grills with individual seller offering their own meat. You walk around and choose which one you like best. Everyone sells everything separate (drinks, meat, sides). Make sure to bring cash. They also sell bread, mezcal, moles and tons of other food like enchiladas, enfrijoladas. Almost any Mexican breakfast you can imagine

The hall of smoked meats lived up to it's rep! Great service. Very helpful! The cecina and tortillas were worth going back for. Shared tables were great as we met some very friendly locals.

01/13/2022, I say, place is amazing. Varies of different restaurants to choose from. It is like a swamp meet where you can go from store to store. Many Mezcal stores many flavors to taste from. I had to try these places so we ate little from different restaurants ?. I also noticed many Americans come out here to Oaxaca. If you get the chance to come out here. Visit the places and their culture. And some of the tours they offer.
