No parking, not organize, no clean, many people, hight noise, terrible traffic and so dirty, many streets are occupied for vendors and all around is so dirty. In this beautiful city this happen because authorities really don't care !!!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is part of my life and I was of my job. My mother brought me to buy everything for cooking. There is a special place for everything.
The food is great. We had our specific places where we don't get sick. The prices are fair. This was my childhood and current life when we get "el mandado" the groceries.
This places was perfect when I worked as a Spanish Instructor. People are nice. We enjoyed the time. The seller talked to them about their products like: Do you know the difference between these big beans and this small ones?
They bought fruits and people respected the price.
It could be smelly because of the fish part, but this is a good place to buy groceries and eat as a real Mexican.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If memory serves me, this is one of the oldest and biggest mercados in Puebla. It's massive. Located about 5 blocks or so from the Puebla zocalo, you will find produce you likely have never seen. Everything is fresh. The butcher stands are a trip! I imagine it is what a butcher shop was like a hundred years ago in the USA, with animal heads and body parts everywhere. I find the Mexican meats to be excellent, and I wonder about the efficacy of our sanitation paranoia in the States.
