Mercado de Artesanías - 31000 Chihuahua

An old market place that offers tourists the chance to buy popular collectibles, clothing and decor, and a delicious meal. The beautiful architecture and art displays are wonderful opportunities to enjoy taking photos and a relaxing stroll through the heart of Chihuahua, Chihuahua. It's a comfortable place to visit any time of the year

Large area with a large amount of knick knacks and souvenirs. The staff are not pushy and are very helpful, if you speak Spanish. Great place to find small gift for friends and family.

This is a great location in downtown Chihuahua. There are lots of artists who are willing to make things on the fly. Our family chose personalized bracelets and keychains. The gentleman who made them was able to make them within 20-30 minutes he made six of them. And all of them cost about $10 dollars together. they're also lots of places to take pictures or the signs of Chihuahua and statues. Some things to be aware of is that if you're going to use public restroom have at least six pesos on you per person. Also right now because of the pandemic if you're going to visit any store along this path there's only one person per family that are allowed in at a time. Each store insists that they take your temperature and you use hand sanitizer at the front door. Obviously masks are required everywhere.

Flea market type stores with local art. One will find interesting items. Interesting setup.

So much to see here and too buy.

I went in looking for the little dolls and I found what I was looking for but their dresses caught my attention. I saw a black dress and the lady told me $650 pesos for it. Since I fell in love with it I didn’t think much of the price or to convert into dollars. I bought the dress and came across other stores where they were selling similar dresses for $380 and figured they upped the price because they can tell I wasn’t from here. Me and my sister went back to the store like 5 min later and I asked if I could return it because I didn’t calculate into dollars and realized it was over priced. The ladies looked at one another and said “oh no here in Mexico we can’t return it since the money is in our system already, but we can give store credit.” At that point I just took the L and decided to learn from this. Once I got home to try on the dress I saw masking tape inside that stated $595 so these women indeed upped the price and they knew what they did they had a guilty look on their face when I asked for a refund/return. Me and my family will not be coming to this store we come to visit every year. There are other stores with more fair pricing.

Great place to get hand made local products. You might find products that are also found at other parts of the country. However, these products are very affordable and you will be able to see really beautiful items.

This is downtown in Chihuahua you can almost find everything here from souvenirs, great food, snacks, looking gifts for somebody. You can take great pictures walk around here I recommend to go and have fun.
