★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ate a late breakfast/ early lunch at Celia in the market. Chicharron salsa y huevos rancheros con chorizo. Muy bien! I had the chocolate con leche and my partner had cafe. I enjoyed his cafe more than my hot chocolate. It had wonderful hints of cocoa and caramel.

Also food to eat there.
Prices varey, some cheap and some expensive.
Very delicious, authentic.
Worth a visit.
I liked the most the Rosita resturant,
Good value for money and delicious.
They are inside the mercado and color is orange.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the best authentic Oaxacan food here. We ate at a place called 'la abuelita' and honestly everything was delicious. From the tamales, tlayudas, enchiladas to the aqua de horchatas en the chocolate caliente. What an amazing place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Smaller than Mercados Juarez and 20 de noviembre, but still charming. We did a quick pass through while on a bike tour with the lovely couple Lupita and Rolando via Airbnb Experiences. Rolando gave us delicious quesillo cheese to sample here and showed us which Fonda to eat at in the market.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd recommend going here to buy fresh veggies/fruits/meat/cheese, rather than for its cooked food (which is better at 20 de noviembre). Friendly people, lots of variety, less overcrowded than 20.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fresh veggies, fruit, meat, chicken, nutmeg, seeds, flowers and household stuff. Use caution when eating at the food stands. I've had both good and bad. The coloradito pictured was good but the meat too dificult to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Another market in the Oaxaca area. We did not find this one to be as exciting or food and restaurant scene as the others in Oaxaca. It was nice and clean, but just not as much variety of prepared food.
