About Mercado El 100
Somos un equipo formado por 50 productores orgánicos y ecológicos. Todos producen o transforman en la Ciudad de México o, a no más de 100 millas de la Ciudad, de ahí nuestro nombre.
La coordinación esta conformada por Alan Favero, fundador y presidente de ésta Asociación Civil, quien motivado por experiencias de vida con artesanos y pequeños productores, con alto sentido de responsabilidad social, decidió crear LU’UM AC y Mercado el 100, organizaciones que promueven e impulsan y dan acompañamiento para la profesionalización y comercialización justa de productos elaborados por artesanos y productores locales ecológicos.
Fátima, bióloga, Ricardo y Ana, agrónomos, socios dedicados de tiempo completo al mercado, a la certificación y al acompañamiento a los productores, realizando desde trámites, visitas de campo, relaciones públicas, comunicación, difusión, logística, etc.
Además de nosotros, hay muchas personas más que hacen posible el funcionamiento de Mercado el 100, a través de áreas transversales, como la administración, la contabilidad, la comunicación, el servicio de fletes, gracias a cada uno.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best place I know of in Mexico city to but organic produce and unique varieties. The stores can only offer legal varieties, whereas here you can find all kinds of tomatoes, purple cauliflower, colourful carrots, etc. For me ancient varieties have so much more taste it's invaluable.
Of course it's pricey compared to a regular market or supermarket, but for me, definitely worth it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent. Many different products and all organic. Including hard cheeses, (very tasty) and many different flavours of honey. Simple things as well like chives, really original not supermarket apples, strawberries and figs, and a lot more. I thoroughly recommend a visit. There is a bus service that drops you on Coahuila St. and you have to walk 3 blocks. Or take a taxi. I am now a regular. It's that good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is like the Gucci tianguis. So many great products (though more expensive than others). The quality is excellent. I love Panacea coffee (cold brew forever), and all the wonderful produce stands. A great mole paste there too!
