This market is one of the places where you can find lots of things cheap. From flowers and fruits, to decorations and food (Mexican antojitos: tacos, tortas, tamales, etc). Just be aware of your things! I wouldn't call it a safe place, better not to use valuable things that can be seen. However, it's still a nice place to buy cheap things easy.

This market used to be a great place to buy handcrafted goods. Mexican folklore clothes hand embroidered shirts and other beautiful pieces, now is flooded with cheap China shoes and clothes, two or three places have some left overs of those tines. Sad very sad

This place hold a very long presence at the city with a great variety of products, as basics as vegetables and fruits till more expertise things like flowers for weddings... the prices are diverse and depends of the season. Are also some women who sell honey 100% natural and bio. As well as food pre-cooked a very good price. About animal products, are also a great variety and good quality from pork, turkey, chicken, beef or fishes. My favorite place is definitely "el molino de chile" where you can find from nuts to soya, all kind of Mole, spices, or "masa para tamales" fresh and ready to cook at a good price. Some recommendations: Come with time and patience to check all prices and all around the market. Ask for recommendations to the people if you are not sure. Sunday is always overcrowded so, it's better during the week or even Saturday morning. In general is safe but don't forget to put attention around you.
