Best Fresh food market in Mexico

P	Penny Fazio on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You can get really fresh produce at this market place. They have a big selection of fruits and vegetables and it is good quality. They weigh everything and give you your total. Bring your own bag to put your things in.
J	James Flynn on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is in the Chapala plaza and has many markets that sell everything from fresh flowers and fruit to fresh beef and fish. It also has many little local restaurants. I buy my beef only from Carniceria Mr. Bull and I love to sit near the bandstand on some evenings to watch people learn to dance typical Mexican dances. It has a garden snaking throughout but it definitely needs shade trees to make it more enjoyable in the hot sun. Chapala lacks shade trees on the malecon ( boardwalk) and in the plaza from my point of view. Dusk and early evenings are the most enjoyable times just to people watch.

Right behind the market is the Creamery that sells quality items hard to find in other locations including fresh and imported chese and cold cuts. Next door to it are two side-by-side fruit and vegatable outlets and then three doors down is the Boca Mar that has much better quality of seafood! Too bad nothing is open at night around the market and plaza.

M	Max Fuller on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The recent remodel made a huge improvement. An excellent place with a variety of food concessions, meat and veggies. Super prices too. Good place to relax and people watch. If you go there check out all of the surrounding shops.
