Mex Rent a Car - 44510 Guadalajara

This was not the first time I have rented a car from this company. I have rented about 4 cars in the past when they were just Fox rent a car. When I made the reservation it said it would be $500. (I know that insurance wasn’t factored into it) When I picked the car up I was i was told it would be $1,200 total including insurance. The attendant that helped me stated I could take a cheaper approach which would make my total $950. Having 3 small children, 6 bags of luggage and being 2 hrs from my final destination I had no choice. The attendant (Alexay) was upset after he went around and checked the car and I didn’t “tip” him. The car had a chip in the window that he did not record I didn’t pay much attention to it since I figured they saw it. Upon returning the car I was charged $500 for the chip on the window, nobody took the time to even talk to me about it. They just shrugged it off and said “well you should have gotten the full coverage ins. “ What should have been a $500 car rental turned into a $1,450 car rental. Never again will I rent a car through this company or recommend them to anyone.

Warning. I should had read the revew before I think they all must be so real. The Car I requested was no available so they give me a lower type of car and No apologies or a discount. It took me about 60 minutes to get in and out. your office did not allow me to use Amex for the deposit. That is a dirty trick to make you buy Insurance (my credit card includes insurance) the price of my reservation when to almost twice as much as the quoted price.  I consider this a scam i will have to let other user know about this horenduse experience. PLEASE TAKE YOUR MONE SOME WHERE ELSE.

Worst experience ever. Do NOT try to book a car through this company. Reserved one for 9am, the person who was supposed to be there never showed up. Called up their main number, someone else showed up 20 min later to drive me to another location. Tried to charge me a $10,000 deposit which was never disclosed on the contract or during the booking process. When I disputed this, I was told it was the customer's responsibility to look through the entire website and find all their terms in their Q&A. When I cancelled and asked to be driven back to where I was picked up, I was told to get a cab.

This is the worst car company rental I have ever been to.never go when Angela is there!!!they said for one week it would cost 2,000 dollars for one week 7 days , just for insurance.on top of that I reserved under Expedia and she fought with them.Expedia apologized and gave a refund.For her rudeness!

Rented a car for a two day stay through a third party for $64 did not purchase insurance. Big mistake!!!! This company requires you to have full coverage. As she explained the coverages she said they were at the best prices bull sh*&. Over charged us and forced us to take the insurance otherwise they would not allow us to take the car off the lot. They charged us $72 for two days, lesson learned get the insurance before you pick the car up. Because online the insurance was $13.99 a day and I made the mistake of not purchasing it!

I had a reservation which I thought was a great deal. I called in to get info and was told I had a $500 USD deposit, plus an insurance fee of $28 USD per day. Just the insurance alone more than doubled the cost of the rental so I cancelled my reservation and went with a better option. Thank you to all who posted their (unfortunate) recent experience.

Left us stranded with our bags in the middle of nowhere with no options for another car. The company is extremely shady - RUN to a more reputable company. The gave up our car to someone else saying we didn't show up (we made a reservation days in advance). We arrived an hour late and the contract says you have 2 hours grace period (even though they take your money to begin with). They lied saying we didn't arrive on time and gave it to another customer who was willing to pay more. We reversed our charges but they are trying to enforce their charges illegally. The company is not based in Mexico either but in Dublin. It's all just a nightmare and it's not worth renting from them.

Horrible place! Do not rent a car from them!! They make unauthorized charges on your CC.. to be avoided at all cost!! Stick with well known agencies like Avis Budget or Hertz…
