We originally were going with budget across budget, budget gave our car away after we had a reservation and tried give us a van then completely ignored us. So we walked down to a few other companies and stumbled across MEX, they took great care of us and got us out in less than 30 minutes with excellent service and a great car.
They took about $150 CC deposit and let us put the rest on our Debit for payment.
We are renting from them again this week here in Mexico City.
I hope to experience the same quality this time around aswell!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Do not rent from them. They NEVER have the car you reserve. I always call the call center the day before to confirm my reservation and they said everything is good to go. When I get to the car rental facility, they say we don't have what you requested. The comprable vehicle they offer doesn't even match the needs of why I chose the car I did. #Unsubscribe

They won’t have the car you reserved. They will not honor the price you booked.
You will pay more and get less.. while it takes hours.
An extra clever way they screw you is that they quote you in dollars but charge you in pesos using a scammy exchange rate 15% off the bank rate. Plus your cc provider will add a few extra %s as foreign charge.
At the end you end up paying around 2x more than you expected.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible experience. Woke up to a boot on my car! Apparently the car had multiple unpaid tickets from years ago. MEX said I was responsible for paying and removing the boot and they would reimburse me. Then after 7 hours I had the boot removed and they charged me $250 USD because I returned the car late. Filed a fraud claim with my credit card company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They did not have my car reservation via Orbitz. So they give me a another car for more $ but I was the only customer and it took more than one hour to leave this place with the car. Also, it has been about 10 days and I did not receive my car deposit back of 500$

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every time we booking there car, thay can't give it to us. If we book week before, thay said you should book it today. If we booked it in that day, thay said we should book it one week before. Today the man said us we should book it in 2-3days before.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT GIVE THEM A CHANCE. They don’t have cars here. They make you wait 40min to fill out paperwork, then OVER AN HOUR to get the car. It’s the worst place ever. They charge you as much as the car rental cost for insurance, and they ask for copies all reservations for hotels in the next week, all flights, they call with their office phone every single person that is going to be in the car with you. It’s a literal joke.
I asked the guy if the car was ready when I walked in, he said of course. Then he tells me it needs to be delivered to this location. But it’s “ready” just 40min away. LOOOOL. Then 40 minute pass he tells me another 20….. IM SITTING THERE RIGHT NOW LIVID
