I thoroughly enjoyed my paddle boarding experience and it had a lot to do with my instructor Mauricio. The location he took us to was beautiful and I really appreciate that he took us at a time when it would not be so crowded. I was nervous about being out on the water because firstly I’m not a swimmer and secondly, I had never been paddle boarding before now, but he made sure from start to finish that I was comfortable. He is very patient and gives very clear instructions. As someone who isn’t very good with Spanish, it was a bonus that he is very fluent in English. Even though I was not there alone, I feel like he kept an eye on me to make sure I was good at all times. I came feeling like a fish out of water and left feeling like a surfer ?. After paddle boarding, he took my sister and I to a local restaurant where we able to eat like the locals do ?. I would highly recommend him especially if it’s your first time paddle boarding or you have concerns about the water or you just want to have a good time with good company. He will definitely take care of you!

This May was my 2nd time doing a trip with Mauricio and it didn’t disappoint! Both times we did a cenote paddleboard and he makes everyone feel comfortable, shares personal stories that make it memorable and helps you master different paddleboard techniques while in the most beautiful setting. Highly recommend!

Mauricio and his team at Mexican Caribbean Kitesurf are passionate about what they do. The location is great as well , you can get great food/drinks before/after your session . Highly recommend it!

We were a group of 5 with beginner experience on an SUP. We totally loved the experience. The mangroves were surreal and snorkelling is a must. Extremely beautiful, definitely recommend. SUP is the best way to experience this. Mauricio was awesome in helping all of us gain confidence on the SUP, and was very knowledgeable in explaining about the cenote. He was very easy to communicate both before and during the tour. Loved how he was taking photos and underwater videos throughout. Tacos in the end was the icing on the cake! Best local tacos we had in the entire trip!

Mauricio and team are top notch. Locals who've been at it for a long time and work with great travelling instructors to adjust up and down for the season. Multi-lingual, super friendly + approachable. Had two sessions with them while I was in town. They also do gear rentals. Tons of fun & great communication throughout. 10/10.
