The Capsule Hostel is nicely located on the edge of Zona Rosa, a cool place fo bars and eateries if you want to head out at night. It's also an easy walk to the historic centre or you can take the incredibly cheap metro around after a 5 minute walk to Insurgantes metro station. The hostel itself is really clean and nicely set out, the staff are lovely and helpful, and the pizza restaurant makes great pizza! I did have some bad nights here, its a bit noisy. The street noise you'll get anywhere in Mexico City pretty much (and you only really hear that in the front room), but the noise from other guests could be helped by some hostel rules - particularly about bringing guests back and letting them share your bed! There isn't any common space other than the roof terrace (closes at 22.30pm) so people ending up sitting on the stairs and that is noisy for all rooms. Overall a really nice hostel.

The place is called Hostel Capsule yet my room had two bunk beds so I had to fashion a blanket to drape over to get some privacy. The girl at the desk gave me the judgiest looks while I walked around. There were ants in the bed. Breakfast was coffee and a single cheese sandwich. They had juice and fruit yet didn’t allow us to have any. No kitchen or water to fill my bottle. The worst was the shower heat. There was no temperature control and the water was burning.

Great location. And the privacy offered is wonderful for the price of a hostel. Quite near one of the most important avenues in Mexico City and a metro station, this makes it's location quite convenient.

Made me pay twice. I had already paid. No common room. Place totally empty, except a few nice people. Breakfast tastes good but is nothing, just small sandwich.

Really love the capsules that provide you intimacy. Very well located in the safe business area of DF. Nice and helpful staff. Really clean. Only downsides: lacks a kitchen and a social area and the showers could be improved.

When I checked out, they charged me 50 pesos for not losing a key, but for losing a piece of fabric on the keychain that was the title of the Hostel. There was hair all over three of the five shower stalls, too. Stay somewhere nicer, less expensive, and not a complete scam.
