There is a lot they don’t explain like you can’t use sunblock, that it will take 45 min to get to the whale shark and more. When I tried to explain that I was upset that this wasn’t mentioned before hand I was informed that “ what do you want us to do madam”. Either way just ask a lot of questions

This is by far the best tour I’ve ever had, although the right was choppy and a little far the hole experience of swimming with the whale shark is totally worth it, we even saw some dolphins and some mantarays on the way back, the ceviche was excellent and the service great,100% recommended

Absolutely disgusting experience with crew and staff. A lot of bait and switch type stuff going on, similar to a lot of other tourist traps on this island. Harassed us by calling and emailing incessantly insisting on rescheduling after we requested a refund on the terms they set forth, was forced to file a complaint with the hotel we are staying at and with Mexico's Sectur de Turismo.

This is a magnificent experience, but it is hard to stomach 100 boats corralling these gentle giants. The whale sharks are beautiful and plentiful, though this is definitely a tragedy of the commons. There were so many boats. Also, if you're leaving from Isla Mujeres you will be shuttled to the Cancun location. This resulted in us departing our hotel at 6:45a, but not heading out for the one hour commute to the feeding grounds until after nine o'clock. Breakfast is basically dry sweet bread and bananas. The crowds are a mess. Our guide was a husband and wife duo. The lunch they prepared was fantastic. Take lots of Dramamine and Meclizine. Sea sickness ruined some peoples' trip.

My husband and I had a great time with Mexico Whale Shark! Isaac and Cindy are fantastic guides - extremely friendly and educative regarding whale shark biology and conservation. They are a reputable group, following the rules and regulations around the activity, and were always careful to put the best interests of the sharks first - always a great thing in my book. When one of the visitors gave them a really hard time (dude basically wanted to run his own show and skirt Mexican regulations), Mexico Whale Shark remained calm, composed, and offered great customer service - it was very impressive to watch them manage an incredibly difficult client. Our tour group had 10 people, and the tour included a light breakfast and snacks on the boat (water, sodas, sandwiches) while we took turns in pairs swimming with whale sharks. After our swims, we went to Isla Mujeres for a swim in Playa Norte and lunch, which consisted of one of the best ceviches I've ever had. On the way back, Isaac took us snorkeling to a pretty special spot, which I'll keep secret because it truly was a good surprise! I'm usually not one to give reviews, but the Mexico Whale Shark experience was one that cannot be beat. Two days later, my husband and I tried the same activity with Viator, but it was missing the wholesome experience and incredible guides of Mexico Whale Shark. I cannot wait to go again next year!

We had an incredible experience with Mexico Whale Shark excursions. We went out and were lucky enough to see at least 30 whale sharks. We even saw a manta ray as well. On the way to snorkeling we saw a pod of dolphins, it was magical! We did not feel rushed and felt we were in very good hands. Thank you for an unforgettable experience!
