★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our guide, Yan, was kind, knowledgeable, and entertaining, and led us on a wonderful hike on monkey mountain! If you have the opportunity to take a hike with him, even a short one, there is no question; do it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Arturo, our guide, was awesome! He was so passionate about the petroglyphs at Alta Vista, and the history of the peoples who once had lived here. We were a bit sore from horseback riding the day before, but Arturo's charm and his stories had us captivated. The swim at the pools was perfectly refreshing! Next time we're in Nayarit, Isla Coral trek for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Monkey Mountain Hike - A great family hike through Sayulita's jungle guided by MexiTreks Founder Steve. We met Steve at Sayulitas Main Plaza and he transported us a short 10 minutes to the trailhead where he provided walking sticks and backpacks for us and we were quickly on our way. Through the jungle we went as Steve led the way educating us about the history of the land and the endemic flora and fauna of the area. Colorful butterflies flew around us, Steve spoke of the various uses of local trees and pointed out spiders and other insect life we may have missed on our own. We crossed a few small creeks and mini waterfalls, the hike was overall moderate as stated in the description, with a few high grade more difficult areas which Steve was prepared for with rope to help those who needed it. Overall a great experience with great views and a great guide who cares about the land and has a passion to share it with others.
