★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A beautiful Malecon on the lake. But be prepared for a Mexican tradition. As you approach in your car, there will be young kids running after you. Pick the fastest and let him lead you to the parking (35 pesos) and you must give him five pesos for the effort. I used to think it a nuisance but now it's part of the experience. From there, barkers will pester you for the boat trip to Isla de Mezcala for 400 pesos. But just say "solo caminar" (just walking). There are some lower-class restaurants along the malecon.
