Very good explanations from the artisans, they let you look at everything, and especially that you try everything, it's a very good first-hand experience. Above all, understand the difficulty of the artisanal industry and why the traditional mixture is worth what it costs.

They sell good mezcal but as far as the price is not transparent as they give it and they tell you at the end that you make the order so I suggest not showing, at the beginning, that it takes money to avoid that they raise the price too much and negotiate. That is, first see, try what you want to take and then say that you go for the money once you have achieved an adequate price. I bought 4 bottles of "quarter of a liter" (which in reality are like 300 and I'm talking about a quarter for practical reasons) at 900 MXN which I did a lot but still made the mistake of showing that I wanted to buy what hopefully the council serves for other people

Hermosa vista. Muy recomendable.
Free visit and tasting. Very nice experience The Mezcal is excellent. Mezcal Tobala (wild agave that is not grown) at 160 pesos a small bottle of 300ml. Mezcal espadín to 100 pesos the one of 300ml. They also sell Mezcal Tepestate, a little more expensive because it yields very little. Beautiful view. Highly recommended

We stopped here on our way back from Hierve el Agua - the lovely proprietor gave us a run-through of the traditional process for making Mezcal. (In Spanish). Beautiful Mezcalería.

Basic, picturesque, amazing scenery. Owner Jorge Olivera does a very good job explaining the process. Mezcal tastes really good. Mostly espadin mezcal
