About Mi Gusto Es

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely cannot see how this place is any less than 5 stars. The seafood is phenomenal! And I've lived on both the Gulf and Pacific Coast my entire life.
Must visit. Plus the restaurant itself is really cool. Practically on the street. Love it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been coming to this place for many years now. Their menu has expanded and has evolutioned over time. I like the taco options and the tostadas. I tend to eat 3 small bites and that is enough for a meal. Today I had octopus taco and a chile guerito taco (wrapped in bacon with cheese) - both were really good. Service is ok.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the first restaurants that popularized northern Mexican seafood recipes in Mexico City. Now a large restaurant chain, it's become a bit dull and mismanaged. Aguachiles are still their staple with some great sauces. We got a pretty dirty celery in our drink. They use tons of plastic bags to serve their tostadas, napkins and cutlery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I ordered octopus and it was good.
However, the bill was different from the menu. The waiter said it was not updated. Also, most waiters do not speak English, had to use google translator

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This seafood spot is very unassuming when you take into account the location that’s a little farther away from the center of Polanco. The food was good and so were the drinks. What left me thinking of something that could use some improvement was the service. The hostess that sat me was very hasty in her manner and so were the waiters, all of them were in a frenetic hurry even though the place was more than half empty. The drinks were also pricey for the amount served, something like 99 pesos for a 10 to 12 ounce mixed drink.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing food but beware the Mariachi's / music band. If you want to have a good seafood meal, this is your go to place. The bichi cup soup has a very strong pepper kick but it's delicious. The shrimp Mi gusto taco was the Mexican way to say fish and chips with shrimps. The aguachile is also the Mexican version of the ceviche. Prices are relatively low for the location. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't because of the loudness of the band indoors.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place for Mexican style seafood. There are a lot of options including cocktails, ceviches, aguachiles, tacos and tostadas. The drink menu is extensive too with everything from micheladas to cocktails and spirits. The place is big but also gets very crowded. There's a parking lot right next to the restaurant so that's good. The staff is nice and friendly.
