Milcoapa - 62520 Tepoztlán

Su servicio me encantó, todos muy amables y flexibles. El lugar muy lindo y acogedor. La habitación limpia y amplia. Muy buena ubicación. El desayuno de lujo y abundante. Para los que nos gusta viajar con nuestras mascotas este es el lugar ideal, no les ponen ninguna restricción, y ellos felices en el jardin. Sin duda volvería.

El lugar bonito, pero el joven que nos atendió nos advirtió que habían muchos mosquitos. Resultó que si salimos súper picoteados, pero no de mosquitos, más bien de PULGAS. Jamás hubo mosquitos como él mencionó, creemos que lo dijo por si salíamos todos picoteados pensáramos que eran de mosco. Así que tengan cuidado porque el lugar no está limpio. Ojalá mejoren en este tema y desinfecten bien las habitaciones.

The best place ever to be in Tepoztlan ???

It's great for the relaxed and sophisticated traveler. Juan, the owner, is a well-educated and interesting guy who's lived the the US and has a lovely wife and baby. The house is just right for the Tepoztlan experience; it's Juan's family vacation home, but remodeled into a number of interesting rooms and suites. Tepoztlan itself is a completely cool town/village, especially during Carnaval. I recommend Milcoapa highly for arty types who don't want either the typical gringo resort or one of the many insufferably precious spa hotels that have sprung up around Tepoztlan.

We had great memories from this place from various visits in the past in terms of hospitality, facilities and location and so we returned recently. However, it seems that throughout the years the owners haven’t invested in keeping some basic things up to standards (considering what they charge). There were power cuts, the shower in the room we stayed in leaked heavily and created a mess after showering, there was a big flat TV but it didn’t work, the wifi was weak in some areas, and the prize for a simple plate of chilaquiles was rather excessive ($150 for some tortilla crisps in a green salsa with 2 fried eggs and beans. I mean not even juice or fruit and bread is included.). It is worth visiting and it is a beautiful place indeed, but it needs to go back to what it used to be (in our first stay several years ago for instance we woke up to a lovely coffee and sweet bread, and flowers as a courtesy to show how much they catered for guests’ well-being before!). The devil is in the details. Hope they can improve more to want to visit them again.

Would NOT recommend! We had bed bugs in both beds, so obviously asked for a different room, but the new one didn’t seem very clean either. I slept on the floor that night since I really didn’t want to get bed bugs onto my clothes…When I talked to the staff and even manager the next day and asked for a compensation, they weren’t very helpful and rather tried to blame it on us, claiming that they never had beg bugs before - but I had photos as proof!!! I was very disappointed and, to be honest, mad about their reaction and very dissatisfied with both cleanliness and service. We paid over 100 USD for one night for the 3 of us, which is unacceptable for what we got!
