★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Las instalaciones del mirador están muy bonitas y muy bien cuidadas, supieron jugar con las vistas y con el mismo cerro, en sí toda la zona del calvario es ideal para pasear, conocer o comer ya que están muchos restaurantes muy originales ahí, que en conjunto con sus callejones y calles angostas lo hacen un lugar que todos deben conocer, solo tiene un problema que es el del estacionamiento, es muy difícil hallar.

El mirador es de 360 grados, por lo que tiene una grandiosa vista hacia todos los puntos de la ciudad. Se pueden admirar la catedral, el Centro Histórico, los templos de San Agustín, Santa Ana, Analco, San Juanita de los Lagos, Los Ángeles, el Cerro de los Remedios, así como la monumental Asta Bandera.
Lilia Santaella Abud, fundadora de las Callejoneadas, destacó que la obra del nuevo Centro Turístico El Calvario, el cual fue inaugurado el pasado fin de semana, genera un espacio digno para la cultura, la música y el desarrollo de los talentos artísticos de Durango, además de ser un recinto majestuoso para las familias.
Y es que además del mirador, la nueva imagen del tradicional Cerro del Calvario consta de un renovado teatro con capacidad para mil personas, andadores 100% recuperados, remozamiento de fachadas y callejones de este barrio, rampa, escalinatas, iluminación, bancas y elevador.
Este paseo fortalecerá la actividad turística, la generación de empleos y será un complemento del teleférico y la Biblioteca Central del Estado.
