Ayuntamiento de Manzanillo en 1971 le otorgó a este punto el nombre Mirador de Don Enrique Corona, ya que gracias a El se coordinaron y facilitaron los trabajos para dotar de agua a la península de Santiago y el proyecto de las Hadas, propiedad del empresario Antenor Patiño. Se hizo misa de inauguración con la primera estaca y cruz bendecida el 23 de noviembre de 1971 por el Párroco Michoacano Sr. Don Guillermo Ibarrola.
