Just a pull off on a highway through the mountains. BEAUTIFUL views but not a destination.

I drove here in 2007 and it was amazing. This old road between Mazatlan and Durango was a lot of fun. Watch out for cows!

Great View! Its amazing, you feel like you're literally driving through the clouds because of the high altitude of the road. Very dangerous road however, stretched roads, full of dangerous turns one after another, after another for several miles! And lots of 18 wheelers that barely fit in their lane, and invade your lane on the turns! Very dangerous! Be careful if you decide to take this road! Prudent speed, and make sure you have good brakes if your going down the mountain, cause you'll be using the brakes all the ride down.

The road up from Mazatlan is one of the top motorcycle roads in North America. 5 1/2 hours if you don't push it. Beautifully banked corners, mostly clear cold pine forests. Road is in great condition, smooth and free of potholes. Friday morning with zero traffic, only saw maybe 5 vehicles and they were going the other way. Most of the traffic is on the toll road 15D. Get gas in Concordia, next gas La Ciudad 128 km.. Came back down on the toll road Just under 2 hours, about 60 (sixty) tunnels and a bridge that used to be the highest in the world. About the best day biking in 20 years.

This is the ultimate motorcycle road! The Devil’s Backbone promises a day of unbelievable scenery and endless twisties! If you have the time ride the road in both directions!

Beautiful scenery, but the trip is also beautiful. Small villages almost dedicated to lumber Jack, very nice.
