★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Una de las misiones más bellas de la Sierra Gorda, a 40 minutos de esta misión pasa un río conocido como río Santa María que también vale la pena visitar, al llegar por varias curvas de bajada hasta esta misión te llenas de la diversidad de la fauna Silvestre y toda la inmensidad de la flora qué hay en estos bellos ecosistemas. Al llegar a la misión te recibe el pueblito rústico con una calma y silencio que te abraza el alma y te regala un respiro.
Conocer esta misión es imperdible.
One of the most beautiful missions in the Sierra Gorda, 40 minutes from this mission passes a river known as the Santa María River, which is also worth visiting. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Misión Tancoyol is one of the five Franciscan missions of the Sierra Gorda that were founded between 1751 and 1766 during the last phase of the conversion to Christianity of the interior of Mexico. The facades of these churches are important because of the “Mestizo Baroque” style, which shows significant indigenous influence by the Pame Indians who built them. Each one of the facades has its own personality. Tancoyol is in a beautiful little small town and the ride there is interesting for the cactus and vegetation that you can see. Roads are good all the way there.
