d	drcalderon pediatra on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ San Francisco del Valle de Tilaco se encuentra en una pequeña comunidad a 18 km al noreste de Landa de Matamoros esta misión se ubica en el bonito valle de Tilaco y población del mismo nombre, esta misión fue dedicada a San Francisco de Asís y construida entre 1754 y 1762 por fray Juan Crespi. Tilaco se considera la mejor conservada de las misiones, con una ornamentación más sutil y compleja que las otras. En su fachada se pueden apreciar pequeños ángeles, mazorcas de maíz y una imagen de San Francisco de Asís. Otros elementos decorativos distintivos son cuatro sirenas con rasgos indígenas. La fachada es la más pequeña de las cinco misiones, y está rematada por un insólito jarrón. La imagen principal corresponde a San Francisco, alojado en un nicho rematado por un arco poligonal y flanqueado por dos ángeles músicos: un violinista a la derecha y un guitarrista a la izquierda. El resto de la fachada está llena de flores, follajes y mazorcas, donde los ángeles se multiplican, primero hay dos, luego cuatro y en el tercer cuerpo hay seis. A diferencia de las otras, Tilaco aún conserva su barda atrial completa así como la puerta de la entrada en forma de concha, una referencia más al agua, al bautismo y a la purificación. Conserva su capilla abierta y campanario, así como sus capillas posas que eran utilizadas para posar el Santísimo, durante la celebración del Corpus. The facades of these churches are important because of the “Mestizo Baroque” style, which shows significant indigenous influence by the Pame Indians who built them. The Mission Tilaco is in a beautiful setting down in a valley looking out across the landscape. You can see it for miles as you drive into town. Also, it has a beautiful fence around it that is different from the others.
