The Misión México Foundation aims to break cycles of poverty, abuse and inequality; providing opportunities for every child and youth that we care for to succeed.
About Mision Surf
Alongside providing access to formal education and schools, Alan and Pam felt their mission needed more, and decided to apply their combined skills to teach our children and youth water safety, swimming, and surfing.
Our children and youth became the first surfers in Tapachula, giving them a uniquely transforming activity and helping them to find confidence in themselves and a belief that they can achieve anything they want to.
With special thanks to supporters like Guzman y Gomez, Compound Cares, and Australian Aid, we purchased land in Puerto Madero and built and furnished Misión Surf, our very own surf school with rooms to rent. Misión Surf opened its doors to the public in 2018, with the aim to generate income and opportunities to support our children and the wider community.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Muy feo, necesita mantenimiento, la ventilación de la habitación no era suficiente, del lavabo no salía suficiente agua, el excusado no tenía agua, tapada la coladera de la regadera, afuera del lugar mucha basura. No hay lugar cercano para comer, no venden nada de bebida o comida adentro del alojamiento. Caro para lo que ofrece.
Very ugly, it needs maintenance, the ventilation of the room was not enough, the sink did not come out enough water, the toilet had no water, the shower drain was clogged, a lot of garbage outside the place. There is no nearby place to eat, they do not sell any food or drink inside the accommodation. Expensive for what it offers.

Villa del Sol ? is very beautiful an comfortable place, made and maintained nicely with love! ❤️ We enjoyed practicing yoga ?♀️ on their open terrace with sea view!? We learned surfing ?♀️ from great instructors, surfing spot for beginners (as we were) is just a few minutes walk and it's just a perfect place to learn surfing, beautiful sand beach is also nice for chill and swim?♀️? And on the top we've got so many friends and family vibes from Mision Mexico kids project so we recommend everyone to have this unique experience of enjoying vacation and helping charity project at the same time at Mision Surf Hotel! ?Thank you for what you are doing! ? You are amazing!!! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Access by truck is almost impossible without a 4x4 because too low branches block the road and the other option involves going through the sand. On arrival, very disappointed with the place, poorly maintained, bathrooms and common furniture are dirty. The pool is running out of water and starting to look green. The staff are not welcoming. Too bad, we were thinking of staying there (camping) and taking surfing lessons but we left before even spending a night.
