★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a wonderful place to buy authentic Mexican cultural artifacts. This shop owner has many articles created from all over Mexico. I purchased two table runners. One of the runners was embroidered by hand with traditional mayan colors on a white sail cloth. And the second was machine made but so in the colors of the fall/Thanksgiving. You will not find anything made in China in this shop. BTW...many shops carry items made in China not Mexico. The shop items do cost more but the artistry is undeniable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We were staying in Akumal and wandered to Tulum one rsiny day when we happened across this treasure. Every shelf, nook and corner are filled with legit art and folk art from all over Mexico. The owner manned the counter and answered all of our questions and more. We bought things that we loved for ourselves and others. It's a place to indulge yourself and to buy special gifts for those you love. The main street in the playa is filled with souvenir shops, but if you want something special, go here. Be prepared to spend sime time taking it in, because you'll need it just to take it all in.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the most beautiful store. Everything is hand crafted and well made but also affordable. Lots of things for the home (blankets, cloth napkins, drinking glasses, etc etc etc) plus some clothes, wooden artwork, crafted children's toys, and a few regular souvenirs. It's perfect.
