★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After a few visits, this is by my book the best sushi restaurant in Mérida. Decent prices and fresh fish. I highly recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place had really good sushi, great service and really good atmosphere. Sushi was really fresh! Being from Los Angeles the quality of sushi was comparable if not better. The only thing I would caution, if you like good fresh Ramen. This may not be the place. But everything else was good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food was good . Lychee martini was spectacular. Ambiance is nice. Service was average. Prices are no little pricy. They need to work on ventilating the place better. You get strong smell on you when you leave.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing! Came here pretty late and it was full so had to wait for a little bit but the service and food was so worth it! We tried both the sushi and the ramen and it was both delicious and so was the cocktails! Perfect service all evening and good ambience and prices!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 3/5 is actually generous, but I’m being considerate to the fact that fresh salmon would be difficult to obtain in this part of the world and the restaurant itself is beautifully designed.
I’ve spent a lot of time in Japan so I might be holding Miyabi to a higher standard than I should given where we are.
The sashimi actually had an ok flavour, but it was obviously from frozen. Again, I can forgive this given where we’re located but it’s definitely an adjustment to have salmon lacking the precision and firmness I’m used to.
The yakisoba, however, was terrible. This was two-minute noodles that were over cooked and clumped together. Beside the noodles being from a packet, the rest of the dish was seemingly random ingredients stir fried in, which included dry chicken and chewy squid. Basically, I wouldn’t even call this meal yakisoba at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The perfect blend between, tasty food, Asian atmosphere and music, soft lighting and music make it the perfect place to have a good dinner and talk. Menu offers a wide range of specialties, Japanese beer and sake are great. Recommended to arrive around 7.00 pm. If you want to avoid a waiting list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful lush inside garden + tree and aquarium. They built the place around a tree. Sushi is of high quality and very tasteful. I was there on a Monday - lots of fish options were not on the menu - so there was limited options available unfortunately. Staff could be a bit more accommodating and kind. Good to try once.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great atmosphere and food. We were seated immediately then endured the worst service I’ve ever had. Most if not all servers appeared in disarray. Ours was simply absent once he took our order. Our drinks were empty before the runners brought the food and nobody asked to refill them. The server never stopped to ask if the food was correct or if it was good. He only stopped when we flagged him down (then waited and waited) for the check. When we only gave him a 10% tip he threw our credit card on the table and walked away without saying a word. I’d recommend take out for the time being.
