★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a fantastic Brazilian wax with Jazz. Quick and painless. It’s up to par with the places I go in the Miami. Some waxes I’ve had in Mexico take over an hour and are very painful. She did a great job, if you’re looking to waxed go here and ask for her!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got my first ever pedicure here in Mexico! The lady's were very professional and the foot massage was great. Prices are very reasonable and the place was very clean and relaxing. Right off the main path too!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I always enjoy visiting Monica's to get a pedicure. I have never booked an appointment but rather always walked in and they have always been accommodating. Service is professional and the place is very clean. While some tourists don't wear masks, the staff do and make sure to space out the folks receiving treatment. An added bonus - it's a great spot to watch all the tourists walking by searching for souvenirs. While getting my pedicure, it was a pleasure to people watch and see all different types of characters on holiday. That was entertainment in itself. Overall, a great experience for 380 pesos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Infection from pedicure. Just had a gel pedicure for $550 pesos. Very disappointed with the service. Disorganized employees when I showed up. No greeting or welcome. The tech clipped too deeply on my cuticles several times and stabbed a few times under my nails. It was a very basic service for the price. No leg scrub or massage that usually comes with a base pedicure. In the US for the same price I get 75 min of treatment. Very overpriced for what you get.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the worst manicure I've ever gotten. The colour is not what I asked for. They offered to fix it but they had already wasted an hour of my time and I had to leave to get my bus out of Playa del Carmen. They gave me a 20% discount but when I left and looked closer later I realised how bad the quality is. The nails are different lengths, polish is very messy and there are some bubbles. My nails look better when I do them myself and I'm not very good.
The nail technician is obviously still learning and I understand that we all have to start somewhere, I don't blame her. It's the manager's responsibility to assign work to people who can do it. Also the manager said she is the one who picked the wrong colour.
