Lovely place to eat! It is an outside restaurant so be aware of that for those who don’t care too much for bugs, something that I definitely felt before coming to Mexico. The food here is absolutely delicious and we definitely will be going back here to eat when we get a chance.

Best bread in Merida, they have Sourdough Numerous artisan breads. Order ahead Monique prefers for you to order ahead. She bakes to order for freshness

Quiet, calm, fresh ingredients and in connection with nature this is an oasis in the north part of Merida. Must try the coconut waffles with some dzidzilche honey ??? And their home made Kombucha with berries and cardamom syrup

Amazing home made kombucha that is very fresh and well balanced. The cardamom kombucha has floral notes. I ended up getting extra to take home.

Amazing hidden gem. Shady seating in the outdoor garden, and your host will bring you a fan if needed. Free unlimited purified water and house-made sourdough bread served with herbed olive oil. Pizza is delicious, and lots of creative options such as smoked salmon omelette and croque monsieur, but the real star was the vegan burger served on house-made sourdough rolls with arugula pesto - so delicious! Lovely, friendly staff and live music on Sundays. Will be back for sure!!

Merida's Secret Garden This outdoor café is absolutely fabulous! Food is all organic and delicious and healthy (in perfect proportions I might add, so you don't need to feel buyer's guilt when you're finished eating it!). I also love that the menu constantly rotates and changes and evolves, which keeps you on your feet and not complacent or "settled." The atmosphere is calm and just magical at night with all the lights around. Various people come and go throughout the day here, and the overall vibe is chill, mellow, relaxed. You can just spend a nice quiet afternoon enjoying the breeze or even a book (the background music isn't so intrusive). Monique, the owner, has a heart of gold. The profits from her café are given to various causes and charities for populations in need! As for a more personal experience, when I had to have a tooth implant procedure, Monique afterwards made me a special soup (NOT on the menu!) for two days in a row that was exactly perfect for recovery, just what the doctor ordered (See below)! Monique has served me lots of delicious experimental dishes which I cannot begin to recommend enough, all organic, all healthy! She's definitely a hidden gem of Merida in her own right, delicious café- food and drink notwithstanding! Also shout-outs to Lucy and Yoli who are also the life of this café! Apologies in advance if I haven't spelt your names correctly! ❤️❤️❤️ Needless to say, I cannot recommend this place enough. Great atmosphere, great people, great food and drink, a unique and absorbing experience for people from all walks of life, all situations and contexts. Also a great place to warm up to the city! Highly highly recommend!
