★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved it, but it's really hard to find parking. Since it's in a round a bout, it gets a bit sketchy getting to the monument. Otherwise, I liked the addition of the colorful sign "Dolores Hidalgo" that they added. I don't remember that being there the last time I was in town. If they added parking that would be excellent!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to walk here all the time in the cool of the morning or in the cool of the evening. But because of increasing cartel violence, you can only visit this monument during the middle of the day, in groups.
I looked at this monument in great detail to see how it was made. It was constructed with permanent materials, made by great craftsmen.
Be extremely careful when out and about, in this town. If you are legal to carry a firearm, like I am, then carry it everywhere you go in this town. You never know when you will need it for self protection.
Please be careful, and don't go anywhere alone. Watch your children.
