★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es un bello monumento pero le afecta demasiado el estado en que se encuentra, los alrededores se notan sucios y hay señas de que indigentes están en sus alrededores posiblemente más en la noche lo cual no anima mucho a visitarlo, los alrededores no parecen muy seguros, es una lastima ya que la ubicación parece en algún momento fue perfecta ya que está muy cerca del corazón de la ciudad
It is a beautiful monument but it is too affected by the state it is in, the surroundings are dirty and there are signs that the homeless are in their surroundings possibly more at night which does not encourage much to visit it, the surroundings do not seem very safe, It is a shame since the location seems at some point it was perfect since it is very close to the heart of the city

A pleasant surprise to see this monument while I was walking to the Tepito street market. The area is not one of the safest in the city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una escultura que no nos gusta mucho visitar ya que están muy sucios los alrededores y hay mucha gente de la calle.
...No es muy llamativa sin embargo la puedes visitar a cualquier hora del día, cualquier día de la semana ya que se encuentra al aire libre.
...Si vas en trasporte público el metro más cercano es la estación Garibaldi.
...Si vas en automovil puedes estacionarte en los alrededores.

It is a sculpture that we do not like very much to visit since the surroundings are very dirty and there are many people on the street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Este monumento, es una pequeña joya en tan lejano punto de la CDMX. Me gusto verlo, aunque la zona es algo peligrosa.
Debes cuidarte, si transitas por estos lugares. De casualidad llegue aqui, iba con rumbo a la basílica de guadalupe.
This monument is a little gem so far from the CDMX. I liked to see it, although the area is somewhat dangerous.

José De San Martín nació el 25 de febrero de 1778 en el pueblo de Yapeyú, situado a orillas del caudaloso río Uruguay, que dependía del Virreinato del Río de la Plata.
Hijo de Juan de San Martín, nacido en España, y que fue teniente gobernador del departamento. Su madre, Gregoria Matorras, también española, era sobrina de un conquistador del Chaco.
Creó una sociedad secreta que se denominó la Logia de Lautaro para: "trabajar con sistema y plan en la independencia de la América y su felicidad". Sus miembros principales, además de San Martín fueron: Alvear, Zapiola, Bernardo Monteagudo, Juan Martín de Pueyrredón.
El 12 de septiembre de 1812José De San Martín contrae matrimonio con María de los Remedios de Escalada, que pertenecía a una familia distinguida. En octubre de ese mismo año, llega la noticia de la victoria del ejército de Belgrano en Tucumán, y se produce en Buenos Aires un movimiento preparado por la Logia con el objeto de imponer a sus candidatos en el Triunvirato.

Hacia el norte la Glorieta del General José de San Martín, que se encuentra ubicada en otra conflictiva intersección entre el Paseo de la Reforma, el Eje Central Lázaro Cárdenas y las calles de Rayón. Para poder dar circulación continua al Eje Central se construyó un túnel y en la parte superior se conservó la glorieta del Paseo de la Reforma en donde se encuentra este monumento.
Esta escultura pertenece al libertador del pueblo argentino, el General José de San Martín y fue inaugurada el 12 de febrero de 1973. En la placa conmemorativa se lee lo siguiente:
"El pueblo de México, erige este monumento al libertador José de San Martín para perpetuar la memoria del prócer y como expresión de la fraternal amistad que lo une al pueblo argentino".

José De San Martín was born on February 25, 1778 in the town of Yapeyú, located on the banks of the mighty Uruguay River, which depended on the Viceroyalty of the Río de la Plata.
