★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Justo en la esquina de dos de las más llamativas calles de la Col Condesa, las calles de Cuernavaca y Veracruz, está este monumento en honor a las tropas mexicanas que resistieron la agresión estadounidense al puerto de Veracruz, el 21 de abril de 1914, y que se prolongó hasta noviembre de ese año. Un monumento sencillo, con una pequeña barda, en cuyo perímetro siempre se estacionan camiones de mudanza. Los visitantes del barrio pueden pasar frente a él y leer los nombres de quienes perecieron en defensa de la patria, antes de pasar al teatro o por un café.

Right on the corner of two of the most striking streets of the Col Condesa, the streets of Cuernavaca and Veracruz, is this monument in honor of the Mexican troops that resisted the US aggression to the port of Veracruz, on April 21, 1914, and which lasted until November of that year. A simple monument, with a small fence, on whose perimeter moving trucks are always parked. The visitors of the neighborhood can pass in front of him and read the names of those who perished in defense of the homeland, before going to the theater or for a coffee.
