★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Afuera del Hospital Obregón en la Avenida Álvaro Obregón existe un monumento a Cantinflas, aunque su ubicación no es la mejor, existen dos teorías respecto de porque se encuentra ahí, una es que vivía en esa colonia en la Calle Bajío, la otra es que fue donador de este hospital; pero más allá de esa polémica existe un dato aún más curioso y a lo mejor no tan conocido: la escultura se encuentra sobre un disco, que al gusto de quien lo manipule, hace girar la estatua, no importa en qué posición se deje la estatua esta siempre volverá a su posición original debido al hundimiento de la Ciudad y del mismo Hospital.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mario Moreno (Cantinflas) es uno de los grandes iconos de México, reconocido no sólo por su personaje que representaba al peladito de la calle con su característico modo de hablar enredado, del que habla mucho y no dice nada; sino también por su altruismo, ya que ganó mucho con sus exitosas películas y compartió su riqueza con quienes menos tenían. Es el caso del Hospital Álvaro Obregón al que hizo frecuentes donaciones para brindar atención a gente de escasos recursos. A su muerte, le eligieron una estatua, que a mi gusto no le hace justicia, pero que rememora al personaje de pantalón a media nalga portando su elegante "gallardina", un andrajo que portaba orgullosamente sobre el hombro, cual distinguido caballero. Cantinflas evoca al México de antaño, el de las carpas y el cine en blanco y negro pero de humor inocente que hizo reír y aún lo sigue haciendo, a tanta gente, y sobre todo a los más pobres que siempre eran los héroes de sus historias. ¡Honor a quien honor merece!
Mario Moreno (Cantinflas) is one of the great icons of Mexico, recognized not only for his character who represented the peladito of the street with his characteristic way of speaking entangled, of which he talks a lot and says nothing; but also for his altruism, as he earned a lot from his successful films and shared his wealth with those who had less. Cantinflas evokes the Mexico of yesteryear, the one with tents and black and white cinema but with an innocent humor that made so many people laugh and still does, and especially the poorest who were always the heroes of his stories. .
