The Encierro Monument is a large sculpture by Jalisco artist Jorge de la Peña Beltrán, which represents seven bulls and a foreman on horseback on their way to the bullfight where they will reveal their courage. It is a work cast in bronze, where each bull weighs at least half a ton; the foreman 1,700 kg. The monument measures 24 meters long by 10.5 wide and has a height of 6.5 meters. Its existence is a continuous tribute to Aguascalientes ranchers since each bull bears the brand of a ranch in the area.
